Housekeeping and Laundry Services
THE ISSUE: The campus has 28 resident homes with a cleanable area of approximately 250,000 square feet and an average resident count of 230. The brief was to provide project management and housekeeping services 365 days per year to include detail cleaning for all living areas of the homes such as resident rooms/bedrooms, kitchens, patios, bathrooms, and group living areas. An additional requirement was the provision of laundry services for each of the group homes.
Prior to Grosvenor starting the contract, the facility had a history of high employee turnover and low morale which contributed to inconsistent quality of services. Grosvenor’s solution included employee incentives such as an employee of the month program, attendance bonuses, and employee appreciation luncheons in order to retain competent staff to service this account. Our solution also included a robust corporate management presence to support the account. The Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) regulates the account, which is subject to strict employee-screening guidelines and quality reviews.
Grosvenor employs a site manager and approximately 30 full-time staff members for the successful operation of this contract. Dates of service: July 2008 to present
Grosvenor has contributed to the facility’s passing marks from AHCA by keeping the facilities clean and sanitary.
